Meet the founder.
Jeanne is the founder and primary tutor of Sunshine Tutors. She has been teaching in public school for over 17 years and has been in the educational field for over 20 years. Her passion for education and helping kids thrive make her an exceptional teacher. Holding a K–8th grade Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Education Specialist Teaching Credential, a BA in Liberal Studies, a Master’s Degree in Special Education, and six years teaching and specializing in autism, has given her the education and experience to help a variety of students and needs. Jeanne was born and raised in Huntington Beach and has been married for 13 years to her firefighter husband, Steve. Steve and Jeanne have two children that they homeschool. Jeanne's homeschool experience enhances Sunshine Tutors through the exposure of a variety of curriculums, families, and charter school needs. When their family is not working, schooling, or playing music, you can find them at the beach!
